Loooong Canyon.

Today, while Shelley took it easy,  I decided to push myself a little and completed a partial hike we had done of Long Canyon for a total of 7.5 miles and 950 feet of elevation ( a bit more than I thought it would be.).  Though alone there were others on the trail - which I did not venture off of, having at least partially learned my lesson.

As one ascends the canyon it becomes more heavily wooded with less in the ways of views and vistas.  And today more flowers, even a cooperative butterfly
