You can run, you can hide, but snow follows the snowbirds.

We are just about as far south as you can get out here - on a level with New Orleans and still the snow followed us.  We even had a blackout - but the heat stayed on and we are just went to bed a bit early.
The snow forecast kept changing - altitude has everything to do with the amount and we ended up with six inches or so of heavy sticky snow.  They do not plow.  It will be a day or two before we can navigate the hills down to the main roads which are pretty much ok now.

I went out early and ended up walking up Brewery Gulch  and into the canyon beyond as the sun made its way over the hills.  If I'd had better boots - or my snow shoes I would have gone farther as the snow got fluffier and deeper and my boots were not getting  any higher. It was pretty I must admit.  And hopefully will be gone in a couple of days.
