Today we drove past Tombstone to Fairbank a site run by BLM which includes some buildings and, half a mile away, a cemetery.
It is interesting how the desert changes, and despite being on the banks of a small river this area is very dry and rocky.
As for the cemetery there is not much left, some graves are fenced, some are just a pile of rocks, wooden crosses or parts of them lie scattered. A tough ending to what I imagine were difficult lives.
The cemetery is at the top of this low hill.
