perfect day, perfect hike.

The Wilson canyon trail is only a mile and some change each way, but it packs constant beauty into virtually every step.

The Junior Ranger prepares for one of many stream crossings.

Following a stream, which was running nicely because of the recent rains, it goes into the Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness.  You can't go far wrong with that.

When not crossing the stream the vistas play peekaboo through the trees in the surprisingly lush canyon.

The stream is a series of small waterfalls as it flows over the succession of red rock slabs.

And Harley had a great time.

We hiked up to where there was still some snow in the shadows

and ended with a scramble up a talus slope to the canyon wall
