Another day, another canyon.

A solo trek for Todd up Loy canyon

different, wider, quite densely wooded.

 Some of it is still a ranch

which the trail goes around

Though the streams were not full there is clearly good water here.

 wild fowers

 and an interesting stick

and of course why it is called a canyon - at the mouth the walls are far apart.

 note the small cliff dwelling - there are supposedly others.

I did not climb more than a few hundred feet but as I did there was an interesting feature.

the holes are small - a couple of inches in width
