Getting there - we live in a very big country.

It's day 5, I think, and we are in Albuquerque with one day to drive to get to the rental.

For much of the trip my camera sat in the bag because drizzle - miles to make - not much to take photos of but then.

in a rest area in Oklahoma we found the retirement home for concrete barriers

And the next day some abandoned stuff on Route 66 - note these were processed quickly on a  laptop in a motel room.

the duck rides with us - purchased last year in Arkansas it survived the fire and transferred to the new car with aplomb.

Getting ready for 2020 trip

We’re leaving in the morning.

Car is mostly packed and we’re mostly ready to go.  Note Shelley’s painting as a magnet.  These cars all look so alike.  Needed personalization.   Have other magnets so we can switch and swap...
